Andrea Atkins, P.T. Reg., Dip. O.T., MCPA
Profile
Andrea Atkins is a duly qualified Physiotherapist licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine with a Diploma in Physical and Occupational Therapy.
She was a Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto and provided educational sessions at Central Park Lodge, Toronto. Her specialty interests include musculoskeletal and neurological impairments and disabilities requiring functional rehabilitation; cardiac rehabilitation; sports injuries; and independent physiotherapy assessments for the insurance industry. Past experience includes staff physiotherapy appointments at the Accident Injury Management Clinic, North York Rehabilitation Centre, North East Physiotherapy Services, the York Finch General Hospital, Hillcrest Rehabilitation Hospital and the New Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition, for the past 17 years she has maintained a private practice performing home visits for physiotherapy rehabilitation.
She is a past member of the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Andrea currently holds memberships with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
